LubriOne™ Internally Lubricated Formulations are specifically designed to be self-lubricating materials, offering low coefficient of friction and improved wear-resistance properties for molded parts. These materials combine the unique benefits of internal lubricants such as PTFE, silicone and molybdenum disulfide with a wide array of base engineering resins. LubriOne formulations have been demonstrated to reduce friction, noise, vibration, heat buildup and improve product durability. Several lubricants enhance the performance of LubriOne formulations. PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) offers the lowest coefficient of friction of any internal lubricant, and results in significantly lower wear rates than traditional plastics. Silicone behaves primarily as a boundary lubricant, and significantly reduces wear rates and coefficients of friction when formulated into thermoplastics at low levels. Molybdenum disulfide is typically formulated with nylon resins to reduce wear rates. Reinforcements can include glass fibers, carbon fibers, or aramid fibers.

Therma-Tech thermally conductive compounds are designed to combine the heat transfer , dissipation and cooling capabilities of metals combined with the design freedom and weight reduction of thermoplastics.

Therma-Tech grades are formulated using select engineering thermoplastics along with proprietary conductive additives and have been shown to improve thermal conductivity by 50 to 100 times over standard thermoplastics.
Therma-Tech offers designers a versatile material solution for a wide range of heat-sensitive applications – including housings for advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) – where protecting sensitive electronics against hotspot formation is critical. Traditional materials such as aluminum provide excellent thermal conductivity, but there is a tradeoff – aluminum is heavier, isn’t easily formed into complex shapes, and inhibits part consolidation. In transportation and advanced mobility applications where every ounce counts, injection moldable Therma-Tech can offer total system cost reductions through functional integration, part consolidation, weight reduction, and other application-specific factors.

Stat-Tech™ is an electrically conductive formulation engineered to protect critical electronics from electrostatic discharge (ESD) and electromagnetic and radio frequency interference (EMI/RFI). These short fiber formulations combine select engineering resins with reinforcing additives such as carbon powder, carbon fiber, nickel-coated carbon fiber and stainless steel fiber, to provide the precise level of electrical conductivity required for your application.
Injection moldable Stat-Tech material can replace aluminum, or the costly processes associated with conductive painting or vacuum metallization, while achieving comparable performance. Depending on your application’s performance needs, we can develop a custom Stat-Tech formulation to provide anti-static properties, dissipation, conduction and EMI/RFI shielding. Stat-Tech is well-positioned to perform in automotive Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) housing applications.

The Bergamid™ line of crystalline materials features standard and custom-formulated Nylon 6 and Nylon 66 grades, as well as other nylon copolymer grades which can be combined with a wide range of reinforcements, modifiers and fillers. These materials provide strength and durability, improving stiffness and impact strength and can be tailored to provide chemical and fire resistance, as well as good weatherability for use in outdoor applications. Bergamid formulations are made using both Nylon 6 and Nylon 6/6 grades to provide a good balance of properties. In addition, Nylon 6 offers a lustrous finish while Nylon 6/6 is designed for high-temperature performance.
Gravi-Tech™ polymer-metal composites are unique, high-density materials developed as effective alternatives to lead and other traditional metals. Formulated using select metallic fillers and engineered thermoplastic resins, these solutions offer densities similar to traditional metals while also providing design and processing flexibility Using Gravi-Tech™ Lead Replacement Formulations allows manufacturers to avoid the regulatory, disposal and employee exposure challenges associated with traditional lead-based materials. Several grades of Gravi-Tech materials used for X-ray devices provide radiation shielding performance comparable to that of lead, yet these grades are 37 percent lighter. Other radiation-shielding grades are available that match the density of lead (11 gm/cm3). In addition to radiation shielding, Gravi-Tech can be used as a sustainable alternative for adding heft to a product such as spirits caps and closures, where a feeling of weight in a consumer’s hand can denote luxury and quality. With elevated heat deflection temperature and good impact strength, these formulations offer performance and versatility.
Bergadur™ semi-crystalline PBT formulations are an ideal choice for applications in a variety of industries, including transportation, household, and electrical and electronic. It has great strength, is inherently resistant to solvents, as well as heat, abrasion and friction and shrinks very little during moulding. Available with glass, mineral- and mixed-filler options, Bergadur PBT can also be provided in UL listed flame retardant versions and impact-modified grades.
Maxxam™ formulations are based on polypropylene and polyethylene resins and can be filled and reinforced to satisfy the required performance characteristic. They can be blended with glass, minerals, impact modifiers, colourants and stabilizer systems, providing customized solutions to meet specific application needs. This customisation makes Maxxam™ formulations suitable for use across many industries including transportation, industrial, consumer, electrical and electronic, and building and construction.
