Total Polymer Solutions is a young dynamic forward thinking company. Our goal is to provide the Plastics Industry in Ireland and the UK with a portfolio of products that can cater for their every need.

We achieve this through our network of premier suppliers and our total commitment to customer satisfaction. As a company we constantly review our strategies and products to suit the ever-changing demands in the Irish Plastics Industry.

Total Polymer Solutions Ltd. now employs a total of 8 staff each of whom has a vast knowledge in their particular areas of expertise.

HISTORY
Total Polymer Solutions was founded in December 2002 by Ronan Kennedy and Eamonn Keane supplying TPEs, PVC Compounds, Engineering Materials, Coloured Additives and Masterbatches to the Plastics Industry. Over the past number of years the company has grown substantially with the addition several new materials suppliers and the employment of two full time staff in the UK. In addition to our supplying polymers we also offer the Avient Mevopur range of masterbatches for Healthcare applications.

In April of 2023, Total Polymer Solutions was acquired by Formerra, preeminent distributor of engineered materials. Formerra offers technical and commercial expertise, an expansive portfolio of materials, supply chain strength, industry knowledge and exceptional service. Our capabilities will be augmented by Formerra’s broad functional resources and scale, elevating our offerings and ultimately providing enhanced value to our customers.

Total Polymer Solutions main office is based in Rathcoole in Dublin where 6 of our 8 employees are based. The remaining 2 staff are UK based.

Ronan Kennedy

Managing Director

Ronan Kennedy is Managing Director of Total Polymer Solutions which started in 2002. Ronan graduated with an honours degree in Polymer Science from Athlone in 1995. Previously Ronan has worked in the Polymer Development Centre, Glen Moulinex and with Ashland Plastics. Ronan works as a key account manager whose area of expertise lies in Polymer/material selection for new applications.

Eamonn Keane

Sales Director

Eamonn Keane is Sales Director and co-founder of Total Polymer Solutions. Eamonn graduated with an honours degree in Polymer Science in 1996. Previously Eamonn has worked with Boston Scientific and ITW. Eamonn primarily works closely with medical and pseudo medical companies in the UK and Ireland.

Gay Hannon

Sales Manager (Ireland)

Gay Hannon joined TPS in 2008 as Irish Sales Manager. Gay started employment with Clariant Masterbatches as a colourist in 1983, he took up the position of Lab Manager in 1993 and subsequently transferred into Technical Sales where he stayed until 2003. Gay then worked for Albis Plastics as their Sales Manager for engineering polymers from 2003 to 2008. Gay’s main focus with TPS is engineering polymers, colour masterbatches and additives.

David Guthrie

Sales Manager (UK)

David Guthrie graduated with an Honours Degree in Applied Chemistry (specialising in Polymer Science) before spending 11 years working in technical roles with Royalite Plastics ( 9 years) and PW Hall ( 2 years) . David then moved into Polymer sales working for 16 years with Ashland Plastics / Nexeo Solutons.

Scott Guthrie

Sales Representative (UK)

Scott joined the team in Q4 2021. He has a background in customer service and will be a valuable addition to the business, he will support the expansion of Sales team in the UK and the development of new business in the medical sector.

Mary Fricker

Office Manager

Mary Fricker has been with us since 2005 and has undertaken many roles during her many years with TPS. In all she has over 27 years experience in the industry including both the machinery and polymer side of the business.

Mary is currently responsible for the day to day management of the office and all areas of logistics including imports and domestic deliveries.

Arsim Hysa

Company Accountant

Arsim Hysa has been employed at TPS since April 2014 as our company accountant. Prior to joining us he worked in an accountancy practice for over 3 years where he gained vast experience of dealing with clients of varying sizes and from different industries. He gained a B.A (Hons) Degree in Accounting & Finance in 2009 from Dublin Business School and is currently studying for final exams for the ACCA qualification. His primary role is to look after the finances of the business, to create, retain and grow long-term business relationships with suppliers and customers.
